Just watched a video for the "Zero Tolerance Rexford 0801 Flipper Titanium Knife"

It is a BHQ video about the 801 made at the 2013 SHOT. Probably a lot of you folks have seen it.

The reason I mention it is that at about 2:29 mark they say that it (the 801/everything) is coming out third quarter. That would be October at the earliest. That's 7 months minimum. Long wait.

... I have a couple knives on pre-order and was wondering how long the wait would be. Someone mentioned April/May in an earlier post. The video says third quarter.

I am hoping for April/May.

And fishing for updates if anyone has info....

After a whole lot of complaining and needless hostility about due dates and release timeframes in the past, ZT has adopted a sort of "It'll come when it comes" approach. The times are approximate, so 3rd Quarter is pretty much all you're going to get.

The 0801 out in May? I doubt it.

Don't know. I asked a while back regarding the Cryo II and that's what someone said.

Your right about 3Q being July/Sept. - my bad. Corrected in op.

So you pre-ordered the PM2? Or are just waiting for production to start?

These are the first knives I have pre-ordered and am watching the process . Interesting in a way. Kind of wondering if there is any benefit to the pre-order besides getting some of the first production knives.

Honestly I have no problem with a ambiguous release date. What get me riled up and others are set release dates that are missed by weeks, months and years. To their defense though I feel that a few retailers opened up preorders for certain knives way too early. Some before any final word was even given on a release date and that put pressure on the company. Third quarter sounds fine for me. As long as its not third quarter of 2014,lol..... just kidding.

Seeing as how this a potentially sore subject I have no problem with this thread being removed or locked. I have seen a couple more references to complaining about late rollouts in other threads so I guess it's best to just not ask.
