I gotta ask, how did my large sebenza make it through the assembly process with a good to go? It had a noticeable bump on the washer and had play in the blade. I know I pinched the small washer but the knife had issues before I did that. I love my crk's. First knives I replaced when I started collecting again so im not hating just wondering how many knives with issues make it out of their factory. With their QC process im surprised any leave the building if they arnt perfect. From the video they have checks and balances at every single stage of production.

The part that surprised me was when Chris said he catches a lot of screw ups. I didn't expect that from the guy who's name is on the Ti it makes the company look bad.

I own 8 crk sebenza and inkosi. 1 sebenza 21 had a little lock stick to work out and one sebenza 31 was a little tight. Easy fixes without sending anything in. Guess how many benchmade I’ve sent back over the years?! We are spoiled crk brats. Shit happens. Let it go and enjoy the best knives on the market imho.

Anything HUMAN made will have issues, its just a numbers game. Some companies and different industries will have more, some will have less....

It's unfortunate that its happened to you, but it happens. It is how the company takes care of it and stands behind the product that speaks more volume IMHO.

To each their own...

Well im not going to stop buying crk knives. I still got a few I need to purchase.

Video is “For Show” purposes obviously. How else would you explain the click clack lock rockin 31’s...?

Or a 21 with a blade ground off center that also had an inlay coming out of its recess. Shit happens when humans touch things.

I've been through their shop at least 5+ times on random unannounced visits when I cut through town. What is seen in their video is consistent on what I see when I visit. I don't speak for the company, but what I can say is generally anytime something new comes out, there are "bugs" that need to be ironed out. Final production samples or engineering master samples are supposed to be the ideal final product for mass production, but things can happen once you start "regular production." One always wishes things are perfect when launched, but that is more rare from what I've seen across multiple different industries. (thinking automotive, electronics, food, firearms).

That's the idea! Hope that the new additions you get meet your expectations.

I've owned 4 sebenzas in my life and only 1 had a issue. Point of my post wasnt to point out the issue it was to express my shock because crk does in fact have great QC. Hard to know a person's tone through texts.

Could you imagine if we had a forum that was done through video...that would get WILD...HAH!

None of the Spa Treatments I experienced was what it is touted to be. The crux has always been in the details of the work done, even if I specified exactly what was wrong and wanted to be done: From severely overground heels (even though I expressly specified not to do any sharpening work on the blade and anyone should have realized that the blade had a perfectly, surgically sharp primary edge; btw I recently got aware of the fact that there's a thread on Reddit on overground CRK edges, so I'm obviously not the only one soured) to double thumb studs that were not press fit all the way in (could slip a business card under the thumb stud on one side) and several other instances where miscommunications can clearly be ruled out.

That said, I would rather deal with the CRK Customer Service than almost any other knife company. CRK CS just has a knack for doing it right on the second or third try.
