Hey all, have been in a bit of an exile due to a surgery. I'm now back and able to work on a computer and wanted to show what Dr. Orvet was able to prescribe to me. Dale sure knows how to make a feller feel good. My pictures won't do them justice but they are beauties. The 152 has exquisite wood and beautiful mosaic rivets. This will be the knife that I will pass down to my son as a deer skinning knife. The other knives have been customized with wood and stag handles and basically were brought back to life from the heap pile. As far as I'm concerned, this was one of the best money spent (along with having Muskrat Man clean up another knife) on knives in my entire life. Maybe Dale can speak more about what he did on these beautiful gals.

Hey D&B, hope you are healing and feeling good! Nice work by Dale!! Knives to be proud of!
He's doing one for me (soon I hope), can't wait!

Glad you are doing better Marc! I am happy to be part of the cure. :D

I have added some close up pics of the knives, but my pics aren't the greatest.

Here is the 152OT. The wood is Striped Ebony.

Here is a closer pic of the 194OT.

Here is a the 94OT before I was finished with it. I still had quite a bit of polishing to do, but this pic shows the wood the best. The wood is also Striped Ebony.

I am glad they made you feel better Marc! :D

Yea, sorry Dale. My pics don't do your work any justice at all. I'm gonna have to get a better camera if I'm gonna keep posting your works of art. My favorite pic that you took was the one showing you taking the pic! Those knives are gorgeous, my friend.....just gorgeous and the 194 is now in my pocket!

I am jelous, Mark. Some seriously nice customized knives you have there!

And Dale since you have graduated into working ebony (Madagascar?) and mosaic pins, you may even consider doing a Woodsman for me? We'll talk!

Thanks Michael. It was money well invested (I actually feel like I just bought IBM stock for a penny a share). I'll tell anyone on here that if they have a knife that they want customized, you cannot go wrong with Dale or Kaleb. There are a lot out there who do this type of work, but these two are where my money will go from here on out.

I'm sorta hoping to employ them both in collaborating on a knife or two for me. But don't tell them. It's a secret!

I don't know that the striped ebony is from Madagascar. I have some absolutely beautiful Madagascar rosewood though. It was originally cut to be an instrument string board. I do have a couple more blocks of striped ebony, as well as some really nice pitch black ebony.

Let me know what you want, I would be happy to do one for you.

Take care,
Dale

I appreciate the work of these two members as well, and have had knives repaired by each, but not yet a full custom built from a Schrade. The repair work was top notch and I could not have asked for better results. Starting with just pure natural talent, both have improved and broadened their skills exponentially over the past few years. I could only wish for the ability to take parts and materials and wind up with such results.

Let's see... a knife remanufactured by Dale and Kaleb fitted into a custom sheath by Paul... dare I actually use the resulting custom? Maybe a proto for the BF Schrade Forum knife 2008?

Michael

Well, since the cat is out of the bag, I guess there will be emails inbound to all three of you by tonight.
