Hello all. I have been involved with Hinderer's for several years now. I have owned and traded/sold about 6 or 7. I always get them, play with them, carry and fondle them, and re-home them. I was recently involved in a great trade with Gizmoman( great guy btw) and I traded off my last Hinderer......for about 4 days.

I just got "The One" today that I WILL NOT sell. I got an early Gen4, domed studded, sterile blade (20cv), non-flipper. All I can say is "wow".

This one is a keeper. I am all over the sterile blade, non-flipper.

I think the overall Hinder design is outstanding, but maybe the flipper just hasn't been for me. I really like this non-flipper.

Anyone else have a non-flipper? Thoughts?

All mine are flippers but I hope to get a non-flipper one of these days. Hopefully sooner than later since they are no longer in production and will get harder to acquire. Welcome back to the herd BTW.

Congrats on finding the "one" for you as far as Hinderers go!!! As for myself....... I'm on my first tour of being sucked (no pun intended, haha) in and don't see any closure in the foreseen future :-). Also to add....... I've been mighty curious and interested in the non-flippers myself. And from the looks of things (from your enthusiastic post) for good reason.

By the way, where are the pictures?!?! :p

Bronze ano all ti is a non-flipper sterile spanto.
One of my first, sharp as hell. Nice knife.

What does "sterile" mean? From the pic it looks SW.

You are very welcome, Rubi.......

It's actually a great thread to browse through.......I go through it from time to time........lotta great XMs in there......

Sorry for the belated bump, but I'm in the same boat as the OP. I've had several 3.5 flippers that I've gotten and passed on - they were all excellent knives, but I guess I'm just not much of a flipper guy, call me old fashioned. :o

However, I recently picked up an early Gen4 non-flipper spanto with lots of goodies at a very good price, and I LOVE IT. I loved the profile of these and I should've picked one up a lot sooner. Obligatory pic:

I haven't carried anything else since I got it. :)
