I went to the Gossman Knives Gosstoberfest hosted by Scott Gossman, and a PA dealer was there with his wares. Lots of knives, good guy, I traded the folders I had for a Benchmade 51 and a CRK NICA tanto from him, the 51 a Christmas present for my little brother. He did however have a big Pelican case full of Hinderers. I don't know all the different model numbers and sizes, but I do know the XM series on sight, and have heard the furor on Facebook about the wharncliff models. Well, I saw a huge box of them, and they are cool. I didn't have enough sheckels to get one, but I did like the wharncliff and XM models the dealer had there. I don't even remember the guys first name, but he had a lot of nice knives, and he was a good guy, a knife maker himself. I will be uploading pics with my iPhone that I took, quick pics, but I think I like the folders. I just pared my collection down to three CRKs, some slipjoints and some bushcraft blades. I was feeling good about my knives until I saw these.

:D:D:D

This post got me wondering if certain personalities gravitate towards certain blade styles. Like aggressive, type A personalities tend to like Tanto or Spanto, or Aggressor or Hellfire blade styles. And precise people like Warncliffes. And people who relish a good meal like full belly blades :)

What about people who have eyes bigger than their stomachs ? They have huge knife collections. Found one non blurry pic. :(

An XM (in hand) has away of upsetting the apple cart (and Wives) :)

You won't be disappointed if/when you add "one" to your collection.

By your logic is would be a precise person.

I can live with that. :)

Dude, I wouldn't turn my back to THAT table if they were mine!

Very cool. ;)

At one point, I was really happy with my Sebenza in my pocket everyday. Then I went to a knife shop and one of the guys who works there suggested I check out his XM. Pretty much from that point forward I wasn't satisfied, kept buying, selling, and trading till I eventually decided I couldn't be happy with anything else. A couple of weeks ago I got my first, thanks in no small part to lots of encouragement from folks around here, and absolutely could not be happier. The desire may start small or it may start big, but I think it eventually overwhelms most of is and there isn't much chance of going back!

Kinda like Lays...betcha can't stop at just one...:D I have been where you are and I wouldn't change where I am now for the world. I still have my CRK collection (most of it, anyways) but I LOVE my Hinderers!

Balisongs, two. Two Sebenzas, one Umnumzaan, one Insingo. Two custom slipjoints, four Case Bose annuals (ATS34 and 154CM). About five Gossmans and a Laconico bushcraft knife. Three ESEEs. A whole passel of slipjoints. Two Benchmade folders. More than enough! I've been heavy into slipjoints and bushcraft knives, I need more knives like I need a hole in the head.

I don't particularly care for the blue scales on the Hinderers I saw, but I like the overall feel of the knife.
