So Friday was my wife's birthday, and I got her a few more Pure Komachi knives (thanks 2bkc, they made to my house on Thursday :thumbup:, my mail guy just decided that this time I had to sign for them, so she didn't get them until Saturday since I was out when he delivered). This time she got the Citrus and the Tomato/Cheese knife.
Today we went out so she could use some of the gift cards she got as, well, gifts. We were at Target, and I was attempting to take a nap while walking. The tricky part is making sure the cart doesn't roll out from under you while leaning on it. Anyhow, she suddenly has my attention, as she is walking towards me with a familiar package in her hands. Yup, Target now carries some of these knives! She wanted to know if I thought she should get the Sandwich Knife or the Paring knife (I tried the standard 'both' answer, but she wasn't interested on using all of her gift cards on new knives. I don't know what's wrong with her!

This Target had the Chef's Knife, a Santoku, and the two I mentioned. We wound up with the Sandwich knife. On a related note, I have also seen some of the Komachi knives in Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
I did come home with a question though: some of these knives are labeled as 'Pure Komachi II'. Does anyone know the difference between the Pure Komachi and Pure Komachi II? As near as I could tell the only difference is color (we now have 2 knives that are purple, though they are different shades). I would love to know the answer. Thanks guys!
BTW, I asked her if she was happy with her collection now, and she said no, we still need to get the rest of them I wonder if she'll let me add Blurs with the combo edge for steak knives???
