Just when i was contemplating selling my Chinook.....

my 440V Spyderco Chinook has been basically living in the car's center console as a "just in case" knife, not seeing much use, i was actually considering selling it as i never really put it to use, and don't encounter any normal situations where i'd need such a meaty chunk of steel (i get by just fine with a Cricket and a Dodo...)

this afternoon i noticed the end caps on my Yakima roof rack were starting to wear off, so i decided to pop tennis balls on the ends of the bars, problem is, i needed a heavy-duty blade to cut.....

oh yeah, the Chinook, lets use that....

put the point of the knife in the tennis ball logo, and push....

*snick*, cut into the tennis ball like a hot knife through butter, make a basic "X" cut and jam the ball onto the bar end, perfect fit, and the knife was still shaving sharp after slaying 4 tennis balls.....

i think i'll keep the Chinook, never know when i'll have to fight my way through a vicious gang of tennis balls.... ;)

Wow. Those tennis balls never had a chance. I can't even imagine what you might do to a gaggle of kickballs. Mercy....:D

Just got to say that I sold mine in order to buy a commander, and although I love this commander, I really miss my Chinook 2 and will propably be forced to buy another one soon.

Siggy, that's what always happens. NEVER sell a good knife to fund another one. If the other is that good, you'll find the money somehow!

Remember: you don't own your knives; your knives own YOU !!! :D
