Hey guys. Sorry to make this a thread, but any idea how much longer the Boss Street will be available on the BC site? thanks. I want one, but have to wait just a little longer for the funds.

edit:...also, is there any difference between the CG and the Proto? I know they are different finishes, but how about thickness???? and any difference in the handles? I don't know why, but every time I see the pictures of them, the handles look better on the proto. Am i crazy or what? thanks again

We never know how long any knife will be up there, but they ALWAYS give us a heads up here a couple of days before they switch blades.

If it helps ya, they don't charge ya until they get ready to ship. :)

Oh, and the Boss Street ROCKS! I wasn't planning on getting one but the Fabulous Amy-0 talked me into it and I am so glad she was persuasive!!
 
Go for the Boss Street - I got a double cut one from the Knob Creek show and its EXCELLENT!

And I knew that without even talking to Amy ...Although I still talked to her because she is Way Super KEWL!! :D:thumbup::thumbup::D :)

Yeah, go for the Boss Street when you have the chance. I picked up a Terror Monkey at Knob Creek and it is a nice, useful knife. I don't plan on using it, but it has the right size and balance to be very useful.
 
one more question....how can i get a DC proto?? Can i still order those, or am i forced to get one on the exchange? thanks again

I think the CG Boss Jack and the Proto is exactly the same blade! From blade thickness to handle design it is all the same. The only difference is that CG has a coat and Proto is DC (beadblasted). The CG BossJack will also say "Proto"on the blade; near the handle area.

The DC Boss Street Proto I had was .213 on my Mic measured just forward of the handle on the spine.
The last coated one I had was .221 measured the same way.
I think after stripping a CG BS, it'll still be thicker than the Proto.

I really hope Jerry brings out a thin BS somewhere between .16 and .18.

As it is now, the Boss Street is a great value and a really good design for a belt knife.
It's already an instant classic and in time, you'll have a real hard time getting one even on the exchange. (Think SHSJ- BAIII's)
