Just wondering what everyone thinks.

First I'm a newbie, and this is my first post. So sorry for any mistakes etc... But my question is this. If you had around $100 to spend on a fixed blade SOG what would it be? Currently my fixed blade SOGs are the SEAL, and SEAL Pup, but I really, really need (OK want) to add to my collection. What are your suggestions?

Now for the question,
I would pick the SOG TIGERSHARK!!!!!! The tigershark would definitely be my first choice...actually...it WAS my first choice.;)
 
That's kind of what I was leaning toward. Mainly because it would complete my set. What are your thoughts on the Special Edition Tech Bowie?
 
The Tech bowie would be awesome, not quite as much of a "user" as the Tshark though.

You might also want to look into the revolver series, even though it's more of a "hybrid" than a true fixed blade like the Tshark. :):thumbup:
 
let's see..... budget is $100 bucks ....

well, if you get lucky and remain patient, you could eventually find one of these for $100 or less:
Tigershark
Recon Bowie
Tech II
Tech I
SEAL 2000 ... oops, you already have that one, never mind.
Field Knife (BG-42 steel of course)

SO.... since you have the SEAL 2000, what you really NEED is the Tigershark !!

The SEAL will handle all those pesky chores relegated to a small knife, and the Tigershark will take care of Everything Else !!

Yessir, Tigershark is the way to go.

.240" is too thin for you!!!!!:eek::eek: man, you really have been spoiled.:rolleyes::p
 
my very first SOG (thank you Ron Andersen !!) was the Bowie at 0.280" !!

my second was the SEAL 2000, a wisp at 0.250" .......

then a Tigershark at 0.250" .......

then a Tech I at 0.250" .......

then a Tech II at 0.250" .......

yep, "spoiled" is simply too light a word for it .....

Great choice!!!! I know how it feels, you wanna buy all of em' but ya' can't afford it.:( I can tell you one thing though....If you hang out on this forum (the SOG forum) fer' long you'll end up owning a lot more SOGs. :D:thumbup: It's a strange little fact of life.:cool:

so far I don't have as many SOG's as a politician has lies, but then, SOG hasn't yet made that many knives. I know they're working on it, but they'll never catch up.

WAIT i'm canadian so are is this 100u.s. or ca?!!! if you talking u.s. i think you should get the Seal Reavolver, it doesn't look bad and it works great for cutting wood and bone.
 
Again I appreciate all the input, and just wanted to give everyone a quick update. I decided to go with the Special Edition SOG Tech Bowie. I know everyone said to go with the Tigershark but since my wife is buying it for my birthday I thought I would go with the Tech Bowie. :D
 
i vote you should get the SEAL revolver. love that knife! (still waiting for a smaller version :D )
