So I have been studying closely the Scandinavian knives lately, as I told in another thread, and inspired by then I made this little knife in the last days. Other than the overall idea, it has nothing in common with its inspiration source, though.
It is blade is 5160 steel, 3 7/8" long and about 1/8" thick where it meets the handle, tapering towards the tip. It is flat ground and finished to 320 grit, with a convex edge.
The handle is cana fistula wood, rounded and contoured, flaring slightly towards the butt, finished to 220 grit and treated with linseed oil.
Overall, the knife is super light and super confortable. Blade held up well to the usual cutting chores and even some light chopping.
I guess I am getting really hooked by these simple small knives!
