He posted this over in his forum and I thought some here might be interested. This one looks really tempting to me, it just may be my first tomahawk.

Great looking hawk alright. Like you I think I will be purchasing my first hawk this year too.

Anymore details available, steel used etc. Also, where can I find Justin's forum.

Thanks for putting the hawk up. I don't mind at all. :)

Here are the Specs so far.

Specs
Overall length 12-13 inches
Head width 7 inches
Thickness 1/4 inch
Cutting edge 3 1/2 inches
Handle width 1 3/8ths

Steel for the prototype is 1095. For the production model I am thinking about 1050 or 1060. Hope that helps and thanks again for the feedback.

Thanks for putting up the specs. Given a choice I would like to see the hawk with a slightly longer overall length.

I have been considering another similar hawk from another company but the head shape of this hawk has really grabbed my attention.

The specs are for the production model as it is right now. If you like the hawk shape and style but just want it a bit longer that is easy enough to do on a custom basis. Thanks again for the feedback and glad you like the design.

Sorry had to be done. ;) Hopefully I will be able to keep the cost down on the production model. So that should cut down on the amount of scraping that you would have to do. :D
 
Love this handle and the design of the two holes near the head. Very compact design. Must be very efficient!
 
I haven't finished testing it but so far it seems to be a pretty efficient little hawk. I will try and post more about it and hopefully some pictures as I get closer to having the testing done. Thanks again to everyone for the feedback so far.
