I picked up the 'Bagwellian' Bowie earlier this year and just got his 'Hybrid Bowie', a Bowie-style blade with a lot of Barong influence, especially in the handle....both were custom orders but J was very accommodating and delivered in a very reasonable amount of time.
They are not 'Beauty Queens' but they are damn nice.....very nice forging, fit, finish, and polish, plus exceptional distal-taper.....one of the very best things, IMHO, about a properly forged or ground blade.
The Bowie is almost 3/8" across the spine at the guard with an OD green pinned Micarta, Coffin-esque haft......about 12 1/2" blade.
The Hybrid has a 10 1/2" blade and natural Micarta scales on a very nicely tapered-tang......both with very nice, heavy waxed leather belt-stud sheaths, my request.
The Hybrid, being shorter in length and not near as much steel in the spine, is incredibly fast and agile.....a wonderful Fighter in-hand. Both have mirrored convex edges and the clips are sharp.
