JYD problem

Does anyone else have an issue with the JYD where when it closes, the tip of the blade sticks out past the handle? I've had it snag some stuff in my pockets... I figured it wasn't all the way closed, but no matter how much I clean it out or push on the closed blade, the tip still sticks out. I'm pretty sure mine didn't used to do that, though.

Have you taken the blade out and cleaned it? There might be some crud in the channel for the hidden stop pin.

I just looked at my JYD, and it doesn't have that problem. Does yours open and close smoothly? Have you taken it apart? Also, when you ease the blade slowly closed, does in close with a slight resistance & downward pull just before it stops, and does it stay closed?

I second the maybe there is some lint or something in the internal blade stop groove that is preventing it closing all the way. That looks pretty hard to get to without disassembly.

I'll try taking it apart... it does stay closed, but I'll take a look at the stop pin channel.
