Has anyone tried these yet? I found a place that has both, and was wondering about getting one of these. Kinda was wondering which would be the best to get? They look to be very strong folders.

The only reason I don't have a K2 right now is because I know it's large size and tip-down only would cause me not to carry it as often as I should. It would end up like my Military. I'd love to own one someday, but there are about a half dozen other Spyderco models ahead of it on the wish list.

The Slyze Bowie looks interesting... but I have no experience with CTS-XHP so it's not as high on my list.

I got a K-2. It is a beast. Very strong and sharp, got to be careful with it. I have not handled a Slysz, but it looks much more "normal". I really like the K-2.

The K2 is on the top of my list. I would say it's my next but my last 5 knives have been vintage. 'cept a Native to match the one I got my daughter for Christmas.

I'll get one soon though.

Bowie! My EDC since the day I got it... what a knife!

Bowie. K2 is too big for what I want in a folder, the blade shape isn't all that functional and the Bowie is almost perfect (except the shape of the spine, but that is easily fixed). CTS-XHP takes a great edge and holds it well.

I crave a "large" folder only once in a while. The last one I got (last year) was the fluted Ti Military. That's an exceptional knife. This time around I really like the K2. And I would choose it over the Bowie in this situation. The Bowie looks nice too but the K2 just appeals to me much more. I like that it's bigger with more heft.

I got the k2 from my wife for my birthday. It is a beast but to be honest it isn't really that noticeable in the pocket. Really not that heavy for it's size either. I am happy with it. Just get them both!
