Does Anyone have a K 2 yet ? What do you think about it...pros & cons. I can only find 1 thread about the knife on Spyderco.com and can't

find any threads about the K 2 on this forum.

The K2 is either on preorder or sold out on most sites.....some guys are buying it but not posting a thread/review that I can find.

I'd like to here comments from guys that have the K2 not random comments.

I know Ankerson has 1 and has done a review on it and posted on Spyderco.com about the knife.

Edit: I ordered 1 from CS day after I posted this thread. I'm getting it today!

I had one briefly but sold it. Obviously it's a pretty large knife with fanastic steel.
Carries well, about like a military.
What turned me off was the tip down only carry and the blade shape. I use the tip of my blade often and the upswept tip on the K2 made precision work awkward for me. Great knife otherwise.

usually when you don't hear about a knife its a good thing. More often the ones that float under the radar are winners. Think the Boker F3, ZT0801, and a few others. If you like large knives, I hear this is a real winner for sure

Why manufacturers EVER sell knives with tip down only carry is beyond me, the K2 caught my eye right away but that was a total deal breaker for me. I know it could be drilled for tip up carry, but I'm not into modifying things like that. I really hope by the time it hits the market it has up/down options.

I just got one last week for my birthday from my wife. I am impressed that such a monster of a knife carries pretty small in the pocket. Not much time with it but it seems really great if you are looking for a beast. The lock is pretty stiff but starting to loosen. I have a hard time closing it with one hand, but my hands are small.
