I've been talking about K510 (silver steel) here in some threads and replies complained about the lack of technichal info. Here, at last I found it...

I made a couple of tools and some reed knives out of this stock. Polishes beautifully and the hardness and toughness is satifactory after tempering 200 C (60-61 HRC). I dont know why it is not used extensively. Also after it is polished it has pretty good resistance to rust (better than 5160 or 1095 as I know).
Let me know what do you think about this steel.
