Good Morning, Folks

I've always liked the grind of the K-Bar blade, and I've always enjoyed the shape of a traditional handle on the old time hunters, here's my attempt at marrying the two designs. The blade is 1084 heat treated to 60 Rc by Peters Heat Treating, it's heavily etched and slightly blued in the traditional blacksmith's finish, and it's 6.50 inches long. The handle is a combination of brushed nickel and brass spacers, with blackwood and black and white ebony. I'd appreciate your comments.

Pretty cool. I like the blood groove and the grind. The blade is def K-bar USMC looking. I like recurring patterns. So, the handle looks a little off to me just because the materials are not repeated the same on both ends. How did you put the pommel on? How many knives have you made?

It's not uncommon to have a more decorative area at the guard end of the handle, but notice the pattern of brushed spacers are repeated at both ends. The pommel is peened on. I've probably made around 150 knives, quite a few short swords and several spears. David,
I looked at your gallery....wow super cool knives. I like the stag Bowie, the dress Bowie 002 and the Bowie 12 w/ the clam shell guard. Those are very nice. The clam shell guard is an excellent touch to the Bowie and it looks great.

Another interesting thing I saw was the jungle honey dragon slayer short sword. That's really interesting in that that handle is similar in length to the blade. I bet you can get a lot of power in the use on that style.

Great body of work!!! I'm a fan.
