Hi. I recently bought these knives from a guy who buys out storage lockers. I have not been able to find out anything about them. It is a double set encased in a camo sheath. The larger knife has a marine corp emblem and "Philippines '92" engraved in it. The smaller one has just the Philippines '92 on it. I have not been able to find the double sheath set up or the engraving. Both knives also have very dramatic serrated top blades. Can anyone shed light on what these knives are? I would love to hear from the experts. Thank you.

Local made knives to sell to US military personnel in the PI. On Clark AFB they had a Negrito village, who had rights to be there for helping US servicemen during WWII. They sold various types of knives, I got a khukri and a hunting knife, both made from car or truck springs, so decent steel. The khukri chopped quite well. They kept up with the times, when the movie "Cobra" with Sylvester Stallone played at the base movie theater, in 2 weeks the Negritos had copies of that spike handled knife available for sale. Way back in 1969 up in Isabela Province I bough a large chopper at a village stand, again truck or car spring steel and it was a very good chopper, the only problem with these type knives is usually the sheaths, which may be tanned in urine as they often smell BAD and do not last well. The two you bought are as mentioned souvenirs and not really made to be used. John
