K-Bit for SD

I just got my CRKT minimalist bowie a few weeks ago and I love it. I thing I am developing a preference for small fixed blades over folders. Now I want a ring type knife but I am too poor for a la griffe. I reaaly like the looks of the Boker k-bit and its low profile. its super thick though right? Any major problems getting an edge on it? How would it fare as a concealable SD knife? It looks like it could do some damage. Do any K-Bit owners have any insights into this cool little knife? Please don't debate about legal ramifications or the political correctness about this subject because that kind of stuff tends to become annoying.

I like kerambits and train with them, I think I understand their strengths and weaknesses. The Boker K-Bit is a cool little knife, but I wouldn't want to rely on it for SD unless it was in relatively warm weather and I just couldn't carry anything else.

The stock thickness makes it more comfortable to hold and lock in place, and it's definitely better than fighting with empty hands. I can get an edge on it just fine (Boker has been using 440C for a while), but the geometry isn't great for slicing (it'll do fine on pull cuts, it's not a utility knife after all).

For around $45, and if you're realistic about what a tiny (under 2") blade can accomplish, it's a decent knife.

Thanks for this info. Now I'm leaning more towards a keramin. I am wondering if there is some way to attach a ring on the end. maybe I will mess with making a custom lanyard with a large/thick key ring at the end.
