Hey knifenuts !!!
Did you ever get a chance to use that muskrat you have?
I just picked one up and am dying to use this rascal....I have a moose hunt coming up the first of March..I'll give you my opinion of it then. I like the idea of being able to cut both ways..
Of course it won't get all the work..I'll still be using my GB Hunters axe for the open areas and poppin' the ribs.....Later

Since I bought my muskrat, I haven't been able to get a hog on the ground for testing. However, I've used it in the kitchen and it is a serious little cutter. I used a custom beavertail skinner once and I really liked the ability to make long, smooth cuts without having to re-position the blade. Let us know how it performs in the field!

Will do..I just hope F&G doesn't close the area this spring ..like last year..I'm gettin' awful hungry for moose...

budman,

I know what you mean. The only time that I get any moose is when I visit friends in Alaska or the Yukon. One is a trapper and he's gotten good enough at calling that he can usually get a moose to come fairly near his cabin so that he doesn't have to haul the meat a long way! Now that's what I call good delivery food.
