The Agony......of waiting :D

I ordered myself a spike backed K5 sunday night.....and the wait is killing me!

It's killing me too.

But I'll be done with this most recent run of them very soon! And another run is already on the way.:D

The only part of me it's killing is my wallet :o. If Eddie would just start being less attentive to his customers, and stop putting out new, or great variations, to his product line, I could afford take the missus somewhere nice to eat (Eddie, luckily for you, she actually LIKES diner food). :p

Ive got a K5 Spike on order, too. Really looking forward to getting it. Though, Im dreading the amount that HM Customs & Excise AND Royal Mail will charge me for importing it! I think it'll cost me about 40quid at THIS end!
Ive been charged duty for importing NRA Survival kits, THE Wallets, even the Japanese FULL-COLOUR version of "Kill Bill" on DVD from Hong Kong, but when my SRKW Battle Rat arrived (My most expensive import so far!) I didnt get charged anything?!?
Although, the dopey Postman DID leave it inside my recycling bin & pushed a note thru my door, I still get a cold sweat when I think what wouldve happed to my Battle Rat if the local authority had emptied the dustbins on that day!

How close are we?

Im having trouble holding my water :D

I just recently picked up Tactical Knives and had a good look at the K5 review, WOW, what a nice peice of kit for a measly 150$. Really, I would expect to pay much more fot that quality.

Really nice work, on my must have list.

I am going to make no judgements on quality until i have the axe in my hands and have had a chance to beat the snot out of it.:D
I have high expectations though.

All of you who are waiting for your first K-5 'hawk, you will not be disapointed.

These 'hawks are everything they're said to be. You will be rewarded for your patients :D

I start shipping orders today!!!!!!!!! I have a lot of them as you can imagine, but we are moving ahead!

i to saw the K5 in TK mag, i dont have a tomahawk yet but iam highly interested in getting one and the article made the K5 seem indestructable would you guys recommend this as a first hawk from a non-biased standpoint

I think I'm going to order one of these too. The article in TK certainly gives it high marks. Don't know about that spike yet! Sure looks like a good carry with a field load.

Best

With a little help from Eddie this technology challanged one got his ordered too. In the past I been reluctant to mess around with the more modern hawks, but this one has caught my fancy...the fact that it's orginal intent was for a breeching tool is really interesting and am really looking forward to working with this.

Hey Dwight!

I think you're really going to like Eddies line. I'm a hammer-poll kind'a guy, and Eddies Hawk-Spike was my first foray with a true spiked hawk. I used a crash axe years ago, but the profile was entirely different, and the back hook was unsharpened. Eddie's Hawk-Spike breeches like a steel toothed, rabid beaver on steroids... :D and better yet, I've managed to not puncture myself, even during tight work. :o

If what you are looking for is a hard use tool, then yes...

If you are looking for something more traditional hawk-wise, then there are some very cheap starters out there.

Ordered one on Sunday. The article in TK was very informative. After I recieve the Hawk, I'd like to breach one of the a$$ho1es that's burnung all the churches down here.

Anxiously waiting here too. It's been a week or two since I ordered. (Feels like a couple months!)

I'm normally a traditional sorta guy, But when I decided I needed to get a serious woodswalking hawk/hatchet I had to get one. (Tactical w/ Hammer poll) When I'm four hundred miles in the middle of nowhere, solid steel, and great design is much more assuring than the traditional route.....:D

Besides that, Eddie's just a helluva good guy that's easy to like and easy to deal with, it gives me even more confidence that he's a quality guy making quality tools.

Now if y'all will excuse me, I gotta go wait for the mailman....:D

Waiting also for my spike hawk. I've been looking for a all steel hawk that would stand up to alot of abuse, and after the article in TK I think I found it.
I was looking into buying a eagle talon but the price of 360 dollars was alittle steep for me right now. That's when I saw the k5 hawk in TK and I ordered it that night. 150 is a great price for a hard use tool and I can't wait to get it in. Then I'm looking into buying the hammer poll also, but for now im still here patiently waiting.

I just found out my custom K5 Tactical Hawk Hammer Poll is almost done and may ship out this weekend! I'm already looking for something to trash, that I didn't already trash with my K5 Hawk-Spike. I LOVE HAMMER-POLLS (uh... maybe that doesn't sound right :o , but I do) Eddie has the first Hammer-Poll I've seen that I'd give HER to use, unless she wouldn't give it back that is. :D

Maby mine is going to ship out soon also. I can't wait to see what all the fuss is about and if this hawk will live up to all the rumors. I have a CS vietnam hawk and the head is starting to come loose. The sad part is I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I am really happy this hawk is made of one piece steel, and after reading some of the torture testing being done on it I have no doubt I will be completely happy with the hawk-spike.
