Like Todd Hunt, how to edit the title of the original thread escapes me, so after a half hour of trying I decided I'll just start a new thread.

As stated in the original thread, the contest would go to midnight on Feb. 1. That time has past. The Mrs. sat down and picked a winner from all the posts.

First, let me say that I was blown away by the creativity of the folks and their poetic abilities. I didn't think you had in in you, frankly. Some of you continued to NOT follow the rules and did not include Becker content in your poems, even though I posted a warning half way through. While some of those were pretty good, they had to be eliminated for not following the very explicit rules.

I was kinda surprised that The Captain didn't enter, since she seems to be the most prolific poster of romantic threads here lately.

So...all that said...here is the list of highest placing entries:

Coming in third - InquisitorLord. According to the judge's comments, you were doing really well until you started railing on the other guys who give "perfume and roses." She happens to like perfume and roses, so, sorry, it sucks to be you!

In second place - tfields. She liked the simplicity of the four lines to Poohbear, but it just didn't quite meet up to the talent of number one.

And the grand winner of the pink and white jimped BK14 is.....

Thank you for being gracious enough to allow me to edit my post.
Usually I'm a stickler for contest rules. lol
I think this was a very cool idea and as always, K-9, your work is top notch.
I know my wife will enjoy this and hopefully it will get passed to the little princess here in a year or two.
There were some very good entries and honestly I didn't think I'd win. My wife did like it though.
The generosity here on the BK&T forum continues to amaze me. Thanks K-9! PM inbound!

After you click "Edit Post," click "Go Advanced." You should be able to change the thread title if you were the OP.
