Ka-Bar 1211 or Ka-Bar 1271 fighter? Pls suggest

Both are Ka-Bars, Both are 1095 cro-van, I am a camper/trekker, sometimes a fighter. Whats your pick, what do you suggest. i have pretty abuse experience on Glock 81. My GF wants to gift me one of these two Ka-bars and told me to pick one. I am confused coz both are good. You guys can help me out I know that. Thanks in advance. Plz share your experience in details
 
I have not used either of these knives, but the first thing I notice is the the fighter is a hollow ground, an inch longer, and wider, and because of the length and width is heavier... I don't think you could go wrong with either of these knives, they are really very similar... My suggestion is as follows... If you've got an awesome girlfriend who will gift on to you, gift the other to yourself! sorry I couldn't any help in the experiences part of this, but I'd say if you have funds, get both, otherwise personally, id probably go the fighter route
 
Before that I would like to take my GF to an awesome date.............. well so Fighter 1271 it is then
 
Lets give new design of Black Fighter 1271 a chance. It might have been made keeping something in mind. It follows the design line of a Tanto with wider stick tang for strength
