Any opinions on this knife? Thinking about getting one but I am comcerned about the sheath. Is it really kydex, does is have good carry options, and how sturdy is the sheath in holding the knife? Thanks to all in advance.

The Ka-Bar website says the sheath is plastic.

I don't have one of these knives, but the shearth construction looks similar to the one on my BK2 which is injection molded plastic, not kydex. FWIW, the BK2 sheath is nicely made and locks the knife solidly in place.

(Flamesuit on) I just watched Nutnfancys three part review on the Ka-Bar fighting next gen bowies and the sheaths look pretty much the same. So since thats outta the way, is there anybody who owns one and can give insight to the pros and cons?

The sheath holds the knife very firmly. It has a loop with a snap that goes around the handle. Additionally, as you see in the piture above, the trapezoidal shape on the back of the sheath is a large ramp that snaps in behind the hilt when the knife is fully inserted. The knife was meant to be safely carried inverted on a pack strap or tactical vest, thus the snap-in sheath. It's very secure. It cannot be pulled out without releasing the locking tab.
