Just got this from Ebay. Remember one of these from close to 30 years ago and spotted one on Ebay while looking for something else. Bolsters needed a little cleaning and some ultra fine steel wool cleaned up them up and looks a lot better.

Nice little knife. Good weight, clean dressy design and small size at about 6 3/8" overall. My only fixed blade knife as I just liked the design of this model

No sheath, so need to find one of those as it's sitting in a small box for now.

Got the ivory micarta model (blusish tint on the other side) and also tried for a pearl handled model (outbid at the end).

I think you may get more info on this knife in "general" but a link remains in "traditional".

Hello Don, I realize this is an 'Older' post... but I was doing a search on a Kabar that I own... this particular one in fact, and came across your post. I have the original version of this with a white bone handle, stainless steel from Japan... and a leather boot sheath with a steel belt clip, intended for boot/belt mounting. Could send you an image if you want, though my sheath is not 100% original at this point, the snap/strap aspect of it didn't last very long... and I ended up cutting it off, and wedging the leather into the opening to secure the blade during carry occasions. Anyway, I would be willing to share images of mine if your still looking for that info... Scoutxlt

Hi Scoutxlt,

Reply to your reply,

Actually found two NOS sheaths as I now have another knife. Had to tear the sheaths apart to trim the center leather for the blade to slide in a bit smoother. Then restitched and touched up the edges.

Thanks

DON
