Ka-Bar 5011 vs 2011

Hello friends!

My name is Arthur, I'm from Brazil and this is my first post.

I have a small collection of knives, but nothing relevant. Recently I started to search deeper and found Ka-Bar and I liked several models, in particular the 5011, I looked at Ka-Bar's website and saw that there are several models with the same blade and apparently the same handle.

In fact, I would like to know the difference between the Ka-Bar 5011 and the 1211, because for me it's the same knife (the specifications are the same).

Can someone help me?

Pretty common with makers as big as ka-bar to use a packaging number (color, finish, sheath) rather than just a name because there are so many options available. Makes it easy when you buy, you know exactly what you will get, not relying on someone's stock photo which may or may not be correct. And if there is a difference, you can know to contact the seller and ask more questions.

I figured that would be it, as far as I understand, the designation xx11 refers to the model of the blade and the 50xx refers to the color of the handle / sheath.

I really liked the forum, lots of information, tons os fun!
