I also have a bk9 and one of my sons has a bk9. It is the most used, and most useful knife either of us own. As far as the Big Brother, I am not if I would like the serrations on the top. Your batoning log wouldn't last to long.
I find it interesting that folks use their BK-9's for "many things". I simply can't use a big knife effectively for small tasks. But on the other hand, I will usually have a folder with me anyway.
I have the Kabar Cutlas Machete which is essentially just a big bowie. I like it. I'm not familiar with the Big Brother.
Any comparisons on these two from someone who owns both?
