  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Ka Bar BK 14

Great knife, I have 4 or 6 or something like that. I put the Becker zytel scales on all of mine since I don't like para-cord handles and they give the knife a whole new feel. Go gitcha one !!!!!!!

Outstanding knife! I'm partial to the BK11 but if the BK14 had existed back then, I would have gotten it first and been partial to it instead. :D

The BK-14 or BK-24 (prefer the -24) are great knives, but get the scales either the Kabar scales or the YFS scales which are more expensive. Makes the knife into a true user where as in my opinion, it was essentially a letter and box opener prior to the scales.

Easy to sharpen. Good size. I carry mine in a back pocket.

I have both the BK11 and the BK14, and honestly, unless I'm planning on drinking (re: party time!), I choose my BK14 over the BK11 every time. They are both just a little short for my hand and the pommel of the BK11 digs into the meaty part of my palm. The nice round end of the BK14 causes me no trouble at all.

Either one is a great blade and up to the task of food or fire prep, it all comes down to personal preference.

I have a BK24 with scales and it has become my most carried knife. I think you'll like the BK14.
