Hey All,

I’m looking to get a decent camping/utility knife and I want something tough but that won’t break the bank. I’m seriously considering the Ka-Bar Next Generation knife (with serrations). I know the Ka-Bars have a detailed history going back to WWII but I’m still wondering if these knives have an “Achilles heel” to their design. Particularly, are there any issues regarding their handle strength? What’s going on underneath the leather or Kraton grips between the endcap and the tang?

Thanks for your time,

-Andy

Good question. Their Impact series is full tang, so you can always go that route.
