I don't own one but if the heat treat on the D2 is done right it should be able to handle whatever you throw at it. With a 7" blade I would not worry about the serrations as you still have plenty of PE to cut with. If you get one give us a review.
Well upon further internet searching I think I am going to pick up the Fallkniven S1 instead. I have heard good things about Fallkniven. Thanks for helping tho.
Since you have one, mind if I ask you a few questions about it? First, I am wondering about the tang. Is it full? I cant find anywhere what kind of tang it is. I assume it is full or a variation, but not positive. Will this thing take a beating chopping and battoning? (2 ts or 1?) Thanks man.
I chopped down several small trees with mine and the edge is still perfect.I was the sharpest knife I've ever recieved out of the box.Mine came with an Eagle sheath wich is a great sheath for any 7" blade.
In my oponion though you should go with a full tang knife for outdoor adventuring and survival. The thicker tang will serve better in prying and chopping.Ka-bar also makes a full tang all D2 knife called the Impact D2 fighter.1 piece of D2 with micarta scales. It's a nice knife as well.(I have both).
