Hello all,

Does anyone have any experience with the new Ka-bar desert fighter? It is basically an original Ka-bar with a tan plastic handle and scabbard instead of the leather. I have a buddy looking to be deployed soon and I want to get him a good knife or two. I was leaning towards the becker BK-7, but I think he prefers the classic lines of the Ka-bar. And since it will be him carrying it and not me, thought I would do some research about the Ka-bar. Anyone got any input about it??? Thanks.

Can't go wrong with It.
If I was goin to Iraq, I'd like to have my Ontario SP-6 with me.
The Top edge comes fightin' sharp too..it balances perfectly & has 8"s of 1095 steel.

Didn't you guys get the memo ? The locals are terrified of knifes so the brass suggests you don't wear any large knifes. An 8” or 7” blade will terrify the locals.
