Hi All,

First time posting here so hi to all! I have recently bought a Ka Bar USMC and love it. It sparked my Interest in knives. I'm not any knife expert and since I frequently saw this forum on the search page I thought it was the best place to come for answers. Anyway on to my question, what's better the Ka bar dogs head or the Buck 110? I like both and they are well liked. Which one would be best for the outdoors. I wouldn't care if it got banged up none either. Any other suggestions on good outdoors knives would be welcomed. No fixed blades please.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I do not have experience with the Dogs Head but I have been using and abusing the same 110 for the past five years and it has held up perfectly. The blade still opens the same, the bolsters are still nice. Good edge retention and sharpens up in a pinch.
The tip is delicate though, snapped mine off while cutting some fruit, it slid off and the tip hit the counter.
I would suggest getting the 110 first, it is such a staple in the knife community, everyone has to have at least one.
