For Sale: Ka-Bar/Dozier Folding Hunter, Boker M-Type, Boker Subclaw, Spyderco Ladybug
Just dont have the need for these knives that requires keeping them, so lets find some new homes.
Listed at Bladeforums and EDCF. Please post an Ill take it in this thread first if youre interested. Thats the easiest way to keep track of whos got dibs across different boards.
Trades: I would be interested in getting an NIB Byrd Cara Cara Rescue, fully serrated only. Other than that, cash is king.
1) Ka-Bar Dozier Folding Hunter with STR lowrider clip. SOLD This is a really nice knife, made better by the addition of STRs clip. 3 blade of D2 that was the sharpest factory knife Ive ever touched. Edgeholding has been excellent and Ive very lightly touched it up one time on the fine Sharpmaker rods. Black anodized aluminum handles and inlaid liner lock. Very lightweight knife with smooth action. STR clip has excellent retention and makes the knife disappear in your pocket. Knife has been carried mostly in a small organizer pack as a backup piece. There are some small marks on the handle and a few light scratches on the blade, both illustrated in the pictures. Box and papers included. Price is$70 $60 shipped.
2) Boker M-Type. SOLD Solid and able to handle heavy duty but thin enough that its not a brick in your pocket. 440C blade with titanium-based coating. Ive found the coating very scratch resistant. It will mar or scuff, as you can see in the photos, but scratching it takes something pretty hard. Knife has a strong detent and the lockbar release is a little stiff. Action is smooth but not free & easy, if you catch my drift, since I keep the pivot fairly tight to prevent the blade laying off center when closed. Has been maintained on fine Sharpmaker rods, has a very keen edge right now. Box included. Price is$25 $20 shipped.
3) Boker Subclaw. SOLD Carried this in a pouch as a backup piece, similar to the Dozier. Has been used some but doesnt really show it cosmetically. Blade has been touched up on fine Sharpmaker rods. Box included. Lanyard can be left on or removed at buyers request.
4) Spyderco Serrated Ladybug. SOLD This is the old style Ladybug with smaller Spyderhole and AUS 6 blade. Rode on my keychain for about 3 years and has been used often around the house after that. Blade has typical scratches. It was hard to get a picture showing them on the entire blade, but the one image below showing the tip is representative of what youll see on the whole. Has been maintained on the Sharpmaker. There are some small nicks in the PE section of the blade right at the point but the serrations are still quite toothy. Box included.
