I have a question regarding the shape of the two blades.I have the 4064 and love it. Im thinking of getting the spear point but by looking at them online they look almost the same.I know there is a difference just how much ? Also If you have the spear point how do you like it ? I realy like the Ka-Bar Dozier line. Alot of bang for your buck. Thanks for you time and answers.SGT

I have both, I prefer the spearpoint, and there is a great deal of difference when you handle them up close.

FWIW, a pal bought the spearpoint in the base store at Ft. Bragg on his way to Iraq for his second tour, to use as a "beater" and he REALLY banged it up, but it took it like a champ.

The Spearpoint models' blade spine is shaped such that it allows for the users thumb to rest securely. Some people prefer this type hold when choking up on the knife. If you really like these FRN KaBar Doziers, you may want to take a close look at the aluminum Folding Hunter with D2 steel. It is very lightweight and uses an inlaid liner lock. The D2 can really take on an edge and cut aggressively. This is a great value for a Japanese made folder from the folks at Seki City.
