Ka-bar Dozier folder with hole instead of thumb stud

I want to buy a Zytel-handled Ka-Bar Dozier folder and am trying to decide between the model with the hole (“Thumb Notch”) and the spear-point model with the thumb stud.

I am partial to knives with holes but find that sometimes non-round hole designs don’t work as well.

Anyone have the model with the hole and know how easy it opens (or how its ease of opening compares to the thumb stud model)?
