Since we don't have good knife forums and ka-bar dozier is not very popular, that's why I'm here, I got my hands on this copy and I would like to know what year it was, and also to know more information about it in general, since the blade has a Stonewash coating, and the screws have a satin coating, in addition, an unusual blade edge feed at the beginning of the blade, I've never seen this anywhere before. Could you link to a pic or give a model #? There is a very inexpensive Dozier branded folding hunter available in big box stores in the US. It is a great knife for the money.

That is the model 4062. Taiwan made in D2.

I bought one about 15 years ago to give as a secret santa gift. The steel was aus-8.

I believe this is the knife you have. Kabar lists it as D2 blade steel. They are calling it an updated model. I think they were made of AUS8. I have several of the older model and love it. Simply knife the just works great. Nothing flashy just works. Not sure how old it is.

I'm guessing you're going by the pivot and pocket clip mount on yours being uncoated? Can you share a pic of the other side of the blade?

Yes, its the same model, 4062. Its either an older version or a fake.
