KA-BAR Fixed blade ID.

Hi all, I scored a stag handled 8'' Ka Bar fixed blade (1207 maybe?) and I am trying to get a very general age estimation on this knife, on the bottom of the tang it shows (KA-BAR) and right underneath this is( U.S.A.) Any idea what time frame they used this stamp? I will post pictures here when I get it, as I have spent quite a bit of time researching this without much luck. Hopefully this isn't to much of a stupid question as this is my first foray into the Ka-Bar realm. Thanks.
