I´m looking for a folding knife to use in camp chores and I found the KA-BAR Folding Hunter, item 3189.

It resembles a Buck 110 but at almost half the price.

My only concern is that is China made.

So, if you are a user of this folding knife, please share your experience.

The one that I purchased was relatively nice, it is like a Buck 110 with a pocket clip, but don't expect anything super fancy. Mine came with slight gaps between the scales and the frame, but otherwise the lockup was strong and it cuts nicely for such a thick blade. I'm not a huge fan of the longer and thinner profile compared to the other folders I've carried, but if you like the design the knife was worth what I paid for it.

Very heavy and sturdy. Awesome blade profile, very slicy. Ultimately I gifted it because these days I really only use pocket knives that work with slacks, and the folding Hunter imo is too big and heavy.

If KA-BAR released a three quarter or half size version, I'd buy multiples. It is an amazing design and profile for office use if it was scaled down a bit.

I still might buy another anyway :)

if you want a smaller, thinner package, check out the dozier folding hunters.
