As many of you know, there has been a Ka-Bar TDI Law Enforcement knife for some years that many enjoy. Rick Hinderer has a great relationship with the guys at Tactical Defense Institute (TDI) and Rick collaborated on some new fixed blades with TDI and Ka-Bar in the same vein. Thanks to Mike Kammer, he was able to get some pictures of these new knives while he is as SHOT where the knives debuted. One cool feature is Hinderer Knives' logo on one side of the knife with the TDI logo on the opposite side. Here are some specifications and pictures:

Hinderance
Blade Length - 3 9/16"
Blade - Rick's Signature Wharncliffe Grind
Overall Length - 7 1/4"
Color - Black
Sheath - Locking Hard Plastic / Black Clip
MSRP - $111.56

Hell Fire
Blade Length - 3 9/16"
Blade - Rick's Signature Hell Fire Grind
Overall Length - 7 1/4"
Color - Black
Sheath - Locking Hard Plastic / Black Clip
MSRP - $111.56

Cool. Thanks for this thread.

Pretty sweet; these are going to be definate must-haves.

Cool...some / many plastic (kydex) sheaths secure with a snap often referred to as "lock, locking, locks"...I read your posted specs and assumed specifying "locking" meant the part I noticed that looks to be thumb-operated (under most conditions). I like the older TDI just fine and in times of stress, I don't know if I'd want to fiddle with a lock...I'm going to buy these regardless, can always figure out other carry options.

I carried a TDI knife on duty for years and just passed it on to my nephew. It rode under my mag pouch with no retention and I never had an issue. That being said I handled the new TDI/Hinderer and the holster at SHOT, the holster is EXTREMELY well designed, in fact I have to think it's almost impossible for the user to draw that knife without hitting the release but I can see various scenarios where someone else's hand could end up on the handle of the knife and it would slow them down a bit.
Were I still wearing a uniform I'd strap one on in a second.

These are going to be stocking stuffers come December.

Looking to purchase a Hell Fire. Where can I place an order for one? New to site. Will be a gift for my husband, any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome. You will have to wait until they are released which sounds like it will be a few months. I am sure many Kershaw dealers/stores will have them, you can probably find more information on Kershaw's website using their "store locator". Good luck.

They sure knew what they were doing when they decided to design these badboys!!! Can't wait!!

I'm in regardless, but does anyone know if these are/will be domestically produced items?

I'm thinking 2014 is a fantastic year for the guys at RHK and all of us. All these collabs and recent 12 customs, I'm pretty excited for this year! What a great time to be involved in the knife world.
