Hello would anyone know how much a Ka-bar USMC 1217 knife would be to get in australia or any american websites that would ship one to australia cheaply?

thank you in advance.

For Oz, brother, USPS costs around $40, UPS, around $80 as I recall. There are some dealers here that might hook you up, I suggest you email them about it. Tomar's Kabars is one of the new kids on the BFC block, and is my preferred Kabar dealer. Email them and see what they can do for you.

There are Australian ebay sellers who have Ka-bars listed. They are not difficult knives to find in Australia.

Gday mate, dont buy em locally, the Aussie dollar is about $1.03 USD now so get on US ebay and start shopping. Ive bought quiet a few now and its saved me heaps.

Be sure to check the sellers feedback though..... ;-)

Cheers, Scott.

Hey mate, there is some on eBay and online stores locally, but your best bet is the US sites, eBay and here on BF. Locally you look at paying twice the US price in and postage around $10.00. Yes, you may end up paying up to US$40.00 postage but you'll still be saving money. Not to mention that the Aussie site with the biggest choice gets your orders mixed up... Tops Hoffman Harpoon ordered is Hoffman Mini Harpoon delivered, Black Sog Contour ordered is satin delivered... you get the picture. Not saying that this happens with all the sellers here, had a lot of good experiences, just one particular site, not gonna name it, might try my luck there again in the future (stuff that would be illegal to import on my own), but you should notice you're there because the choice is much bigger than any other Aussie site I came across.
Pricing example: just got Becker 9 on eBay in us for US$73, here on extac dot com dot au same knife is AU$149.
Don't want to discourage you from buying a Ka-bar USMC, but there is a few renditions of the knife with full tang that will take much more abuse than Ka-bar, most recently Tops USMC knife or probably more versatile offer from Ka-bar Becker 7. Ask Moose and a legion of die hard Becker fans here what they would choose.
Just my comments, I'm by no means an expert on the matter but been shopping around for a while. And strong Aussie dollar helps at the moment too.
