Ka Bar K2 folder!

I was wondering if anyone owns or knows anything about the Ka Bar K2 folding knife. Here is a video of it.

I got it for about 14.50 (shipping included)

the steel is 3Cr13 , which i know little about.

G10 handle which ive heard good things about.

So whats it like?

While I cannot offer an opinion on the knives mentioned, there are some excellent buys available these days for about 30 dollars or less.
If I might make a suggestion, consider a Kershaw Skyline (for about 20-25 shipping included). Others from them include the Needs Work (assisted-opening and fairly large) and Junkyard Dog and Leek series.
Others include the Spyderco-designed China-made Byrd offerings, as well as the Spyderco Tenacious (my personal fav for mid-sized linerlocks at this price point) .
Lots of choices, and all at excellent prices.

3Cr13 (same properties as 420J2) likely won't hold an edge! Also, the Ka-Bar you like looks one heck of a lot like the CRKT (Crawford) KFF, to the point I'd consider it a knock off. I say get the Spyderco Tenacious and forget the Ka-Bar!

too late i ordered the ka bar last week and i ordered the tenacious last night. ill prob sell the ka bar to some street gangster at my school. but i like the look of the ka bar. we'll see, it depends if the steal is reasonable. I like the handle

So did I. Bought the warthog-bladed K2 folder last year and I really regret this purchase. The knife itself is just a disappointment, especially if compare it with the Tenacious or the Skyline. I hope your experience is somewhat different, but for me the K2 is nowhere near the other knives.

i have a ka bar similar to the one the OP posted. i'm not sure if it's the same exact model, since i got it along time ago and don't have the box anymore. it's decent, but i've seen better. i much prefer my CRKT M16-13Z for EDC. i think the CRKT handles on my M16 and Point Guard are much better built. i can, however, get a pretty nice blade on the ka bar. it can get the blade, but i'm not sure how well it holds it, since i haven't put it under any stress. it's decent, but if i were you, i would seek better though. but like i said, it's a decent purchase for the price.
