Ka-Bar K2K folders

I own the clip point model.

On the bad side-
1. The clip needs tightening it does not hold the knife well. You can bend it, but the screws holding it in place strip with ease.
2. The thumb disk is to small and you get rust prints on the blade as a result.
3. The edge grind is a little sloppy.
4. D2 steel is a rust monster even with Tuf Cloth.
5. The blade can be very hard to open at first.
6. A 3" blade is a little small for some?
On the plus side

1. The Handle is very strong and well made.
2. The liner lock may look feeble, but it is rock solid.
3. The D2 steel holds a great edge a long time.
4. It has no noticable blade play.
5. Ka Bar have second to none customer service.
All in all a good first D2 folder from Ka Bar, but the Devil is in th detail and simple things have been overlooked IMHO. All in all it is worth it for the D2 edgeholding.

Yup I agree about the thumb disk, although mine hasn't rusted yet even after usage as a heavy duty box cutter at work

Thanks...nice of you to go into detail...

Thanks, I did do a far more in depth review about a year ago, perhaps if you do a search you will find it?

Have a good one.:)
