Anyone here have experience with Ka-bar folding knives? I recently bought a Ka-bar 4051 folding knife with a D2 blade. I had a small problem that I was able to fix myself but I had emailed Ka-bar about it. They told me the knife was discontinued and no replacement parts were available so they would replace it with a different model. Since I had corrected the problem I declined. I was very happy with their customer service. I think I like this knife and I know I like this company and I'm sure I will buy more of their knives. Their customer service was top notch. My question to you guys is: are their knives good also? Mine hasn't yet been used enough to form an opinion.

I really like their knives, both folders and fixed. Mine definately take abuse, well I might add and because of this, I don't feel bad about abusing an inexpensive knife.

I have the Ka-Bar/Dozier Folding Hunter 4065(drop point, thumbhole - actually 2 of these), the thumbstud one and more recently, a D2 Black Thorn. The 4065 is one of my beaters that sits IWB - great value for the money. The Thorn has excellent fit and finish.

I dont own any of their folders, but I have several fixed blades and I like them a lot. They're really some of my favorite knives because they function very well, and I dont worry about using them because they dont cost an arm and a leg.
