Ka bar modding-need help!

Hey guys
I think this is the right place to get the help I need. I’ve followed how everyone strips the coating off their Becker knives. Technically this isn’t a Becker knife- it’s the Kabar Hinderance - which has 1095 cro van - so I followed the directions people were saying.
Here’s what I did:
1-I applied Jasco overnight and removed the coating on the blade
2- There was rust on the edge so after the coating was off I used Bar Keepers Friend cleaner and scrubbed it down a couple times

The problem: So, after drying the blade - I noticed that a film of micro rust was coming out of the blade immediately. The whole thing has a yellowish/orange tinge and when I wipe it with a towel it looks like rust

What do I do??

How do I get this stuff off and how should I proceed?

I was planning on doing a mustard patina but I don’t know. Need some advice from some modding veterans here . Thanks

just do the mustard patina - once it's done, oil or wax the blade or the surface flash will come back.

When rinsing off the mustard, use the hottest water you can stand, then dry the blade - warm, dry metal doesn't develop the flash rust as quickly.

Use baking soda to when you are rinsing it. It willneutralize the acid in the mustard.
