Handle Material: Zytel

This is one heavy duty folding knife that could withstand the same punishment of the Ka-Bar Fixed Blade. This is an absolute monster when grasping a hold with a closed fist around the rubber inserts on the handle that leads one to believe this is a knife that will not slip from your hand. I like the feel of the knife, and the serrated half blade, very sharp and very nice looking.
With all that said, this particular knife is very stiff, hard to open with one hand using the thumb stud. This remained the same after making adjustments to the blade by loosening the Torx. I added a drop of oil and continued to work the knife for that quick opening feel of a tacticle knife, this has not happened as of yet, and I have had the knife for a little over a month.
I was not overly enthused when I seen it was made in Taiwan, but the price for about $40.00 was a good incentive. Would I recommend it, Maybe so, if one is like myself and likes the Ka-Bar Knives, and I feel with a little more practice this will eventually come around to loosening up to make this a nice knife.
