I'm looking for a heavy duty folder, are the Mules good, what else should I look at?Thanks.

In the Mule price range:
You could look at a Cold Steel Voyager.
You could look at a Buck 110.

The Mules are an excellent choice in that price range for indestructibility. They are big and they are tough. The only downside is that a lot of folks find the mules carry better in the sheath than in the pocket because they are pretty big.

I have one and wrote a review which I wish I could give you the link to but I can't search anymore :( Anyway, it's one of the knives I'll always recommend. I chopped through a thick cardboard tube used to spool cloth...shaving sharp afterwards. I've really put some hurt on this knife but it's still 100%fine. The lack of pocket clip bothers some (unless one has been added since I got mine) but I find that it isn't too bad on a knife that's meant for "hard use" as it makes the grip much better.

Those are just a few. If you click on the picture and look at the rest of the album there are a lot of pictures of the Mule if you want to get an idea of the size.

Thanks guys,I've seen the Mule,it seems like an updated 110.I have a 110 but I'm a little concerned of how strong the tip is,the Mule seems to have a stouter one. Also the fact that its made in Taiwan,is it the new Japan?I did read something elsewhere about the lock not being strong(only one comment),is it strong?

I've had zero problems with my Taiwan made knives. The "real" China has put out satisfactory blades IMHO. Tip is pretty strong, split a small branch and carved a spoon with it and the lockup is solid with no blade play and I've never thought it might fail me.
