I got my Ka-bar NG today and the knife is great. The Kydex sheath is another story. There's a label on the sheath that says, "Please note the knife is "locked" in place when fully inserted into the sheath. To REMOVE THE KNIFE, press out on the lip of the sheath just above the knife's finger guard."
Not true. Even though fully inserted the knife is easily removed without pressing on the lip. If turned upside down the knife is easily shaken out. That's actually not a bad thing since you shouldn't need two hands to draw a knife. What WILL keep the knife locked in is the tough rubber gasket which slips ove the knife butt and is a PITA to undo.
