Ka-bar or BK-2? which would u take camping?

I personally prefer the USMC though there are people who swear by the BK2. The USMC is just longer. I prefer a longer blade any time I go camping.

BK2 for me. The USMC has awesome history and a must from a collection standpoint but the design never did much for me. Circular handle throws my grip off. can't argue with .25 that has all the cutting ability that I need.

Edit: Oh yah, and for bushcraft... drop point instead of clip point imho.

You could cut, chop and dig your way up from the bowels of hell and into the light with a BK-2.

BK2, definitely. I've got both, and while I haven't used the USMC for any heavy work, I'm not super confident in that tang in a camping/survival situation. Granted, your camping trip probably isn't going to turn into a life threatening experience, so it probably doesn't matter what you take, but I'd want a little monster like the BK2 over a fighting knife just in case.

Neither but if push comes to shove I'd pick the Becker. The USMC is a fighting knife first and a utility knife second. The Becker is the opposite.

Depends on your expected duties that call for a knife. If I had to choose blindly it'd be the BK-2. However if I knew for certain that I didn't have to process wood, then I'd bring the kabar.

Id go for the Becker. I dont actually own it but i do have the USMC since i was young and dont really like it for general camp chores like food prep, woodcarving, or batoning the swedge and clip point kinda get in my way.

Neither (I'd take an ESEE-4) but if I had to choose one of your two options it would be the BK-2 on the proviso that it's going to sit in my tent when not in use. If I'm going to have to lug it along a trail for a week then I'm more likely to take the USMC.

I'd take the...
