just curious, how much thicker is the ka-bar rounded handle than say, the flat micarta handle on a camillus cuda terzuola or cold steel peacekeeper/oss/oda/uwk/trailmaster/recon?
 
Maybe 1/4" or so? I don't have mine anymore (damn Army took it two and a half years ago), but as I recall it was about 1 and 1/4" or 1 and 1/2" in diameter.
 
1 1/8" by 1 3/8" on my KaBar 1217.
13/16" by 1 3/16" - CS ODA (in the middle of the handle)
3/4" by 1 1/8" - CS UWK
29/32" by 1 5/16" - SOG Navy Seal 2000
