Hmm... lookin' through Ka-Bar's catalog, and see the Phat Bob... any personal experience with 'em? Good? Bad?

There are two different Fat Bob knives. One with AUS8 steel and one with D2 steel. I think the D2 uses thicker liners but not positive on that point. keepem sharp

I've one in AUS8 and would also like to have one in D2 but I can't justify the D2 version costs about twice as much as the AUS8 version.

The one in D2 is a limited 1000 edition
Anyone knows they might get into regular production?

I'm not sure how thick the standard liners are but the D2 version has .060 thick liners.

I love the looks of the handle I wish more folders came in canvas micrata.

The handles are awesome and the knife locks up tight without any blade movement.
